Jane is a legendary star of the stage. In her 70's, roles are few and far between. Jane's in near-retirement, but she lands the role of Lear in a gender-swapped production of Shakespeare's epic tragedy. Worried about her abilities, especially when it comes to memorizing the lengthy and difficult script, Jane hires Heather, the teenage daughter of a family friend, to help her learn her part.
Heather and Jane form a tentative friendship, one that builds through the rehearsal process, and find that learning lines is not the only thing that bonds them.
Intimate, thoughtful and funny, this Canadian play is sure to leave audiences with full hearts.
